Pom Uglies
Your Pomeranian will go through many changes in his/her coat during the first year.
At 8-10 weeks of age, which is normally when a puppy is taken to its new home and is a little ball of fur. At 12-16 weeks of age your puppy will go through what breeders refer to as "Pom Uglies" or "Puppy Uglies", where they will lose most of their fluffy puppy coat, leaving them looking very awkward, But do NOT worry! I did not and will not sell you a different dog breed or mix breed, I only own pomeranians and all my dogs and puppies are purebred Pomeranians...All Pomeranians have to go through this awkward stage of adolscents between the ages of 3-7 months, so loss of coat is completely normal.. By the time your pup is 10-12 months old he/she will have a beautiful thick double coat just like his/her momma and daddy.
This is my girl Lila from AllstarPoms Gemma X Stryker, here you can see photos of her from puppy to an adult, you can see her as a little fluffball, then you see her begin to lose her puppy coat and go through her "Pom Uglies" once her awkward stage is over you can see she grew into her beautiful full coat!
